Previously, he was known for his role on “Being Mary Jane.” Prior to that show, Hardwick was an actor who made numerous cameos. By 2020, he was one of entertainment’s biggest names. Currently, Hardwick is promoting a new movie he is starring in. During his promo run, he visited “The Rich Eisen Show.” There, he discussed returning to “Power.”
Omari Hardwick starred as ‘Ghost’ in the original “Power.” The original story centered on his life as a crime boss, who was trying to transition into being a regular businessman. However, his wife and best friend were determined to keep him in the life. Along the way, Ghost lost everything, including his daughter, in his quest to change. The woman he left his wife for lost her life, Ghost’s son turned on him, his wife turned on him. Finally, Ghost lost his life at the hands of his own son.
Omari Hardwick left “Power” in the finale of the original series. After that, the show continued with his character’s son, portrayed by Michael Rainey, Jr., taking the lead. During his interview with “The Rich Eisen Show,” Omari Hardwick confirmed rumors of a possible ‘Ghost’ return to “Power.” He said he was approached about returning to “Power.” However, Hardwick said he wound up turning the offer down, as Starz refused to meet his salary demands.
