Travis Scott & Kid Cudi’s "The Scotts" Bursts To #1 On Streaming Chart
During Travis Scott‘s record-breaking Fortnite concert, over twelve million people tuned in to hear the brand new song from the Houston rapper and one of his idols: Kid Cudi. Creating a brand new rap group called The Scotts, La Flame and Cudder enjoyed their first collaborative #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, which also ended up being the first time that Kid Cudi has ever topped the chart. After learning of that accomplishment, the blessings just continue to keep on rolling.
Although the song is only expected to spend one week at the pole position on the Billboard Hot 100, it is also being crowned as the top streaming song of the week. The Billboard Streaming Songs chart is set to go live on May 9 and the publication has already announced that The Scotts will be at the front of the list.
With 42.2 million streams in its first week out, the first single from the newly-minted rap duo was the track streamed most in the United States. This is the first time Kid Cudi has been at the top of the streaming chart. It is Travis Scott’s fourth time, previously earning those honors with “Sicko Mode,” “Highest In The Room,” and his feature on Kodak Black‘s “Zeze.”
Congratulations are in order (again) to The Scotts!
