The Weeknd continues to make major moves. The Toronto native has been booked to perform at the Pepsi Halftime Show at Super Bowl LIV on February 7, 2021, in Tampa, Fla.

He shared on Twitter, “Performing on the iconic stage. see you 02/07/21.”

Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation collaborated with the NFL to book the performer.

“The Weeknd has introduced a sound all his own. His soulful uniqueness has defined a new generation of greatness in music and artistry,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “This is an extraordinary moment in time and the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show is going to be an extraordinary experience with an extraordinary performer.”

The Weeknd’s performance will happen a little over a month before he celebrates the 10th anniversary of his debut mixtape, House of Balloons.

On June 12, 2021, The Weeknd will kick off The After Hours Tour, which was postponed this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The tour will support his latest album of the same title, which includes his Billboard record-breaking hit single “Blinding Lights.”
