Check out the dates for the band’s upcoming spring 2020 North American tour.

Matty Healy is blissfully, hopelessly in love on The 1975's new jangle bop "Me & You Together Song," the fourth track released so far from the band's upcoming fourth album, Notes on a Conditional Form (April 24). "I can't remember when we met because she didn't have her top on/ I improvised a little bit, she said my references were 'spot on,'" he sings on the bouyant, dreamy track released Thursday (Jan. 16), along with the dates for the band's upcoming North American spring tour.

"I've been in love with her for ages/ And I can't seem to get it right/ I fell in love with her in stages, my whole life," he swoons in the chorus over bouncy drums and a wall of echoing, jangly guitars. The song, whose lyrics feel more like a series of scenes from a cinematic love story — complete with awkward dialogue, dreams of settling down and making a home with kids and what sounds like a surprise twist ending — is the latest taste of the anticipated album that has already given us "Frail State of Mind," "People" and the opening instrumental that samples teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Earlier this week, Healy revealed to fans that the group has been forced to push back the previously announced Feb. 21 release in order to keep working on the tracks. "We have been finishing our album, so we've been very busy. It takes like three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April, I think," he wrote. "Sorry if that's annoying or whatever." He promised, however, that they are "really proud" of it and "love it."

Fans who pre-order Notes will get an instant download of "Me & You Together Song," the opening Thunberg-sampling track ("The 1975"), as well as "People" and "Frail State of Mind."

The other good news is that North American fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch The 1975 on the road this spring, beginning with an April 27 date at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas, running through gigs in Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Toronto, New York, Pittsburgh and Charlotte, N.C., and winding down with a June 12 set at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tenn. Phoebe Bridgers will be the opening act on nearly all the dates (Beabadoobee will open two of the shows).

Pre-order for the ticket pre-sale is available here through Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. local time. Fans will receive a unique code giving them first access to the best seats and general admission tickes through the artist pre-sale, which will run from Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. local time through 10 p.m. local time on Jan. 23 here. The general public ticket on-sale will begin on Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. local time. One dollar from each ticket will go to One Tree Planted, a nonprofit that plants trees all over the world to combat climate change.
