Styles P Previews Final Album ‘Ghost of the Past, Present, and Future’
Styles P, a foundational member of the Grammy-winning Hip-Hop collective The Lox, recently hosted an intimate listening session to offer a first look at his ambitious final project, Ghost of the Past, Present, and Future. This three-part album series marks a significant milestone in the Yonkers rapper’s storied career, with the first installment slated for a fall release.
The event took place at his Strains For Life dispensary, coinciding with the business’s one-year anniversary. Attendees were treated to an 11-track preview that showcases a high-caliber production roster, including contributions from AraabMuzik, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Rsonist of The Heatmakerz.
The project features appearances from his longtime collaborators Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. Lyrically, the album serves as a deep dive into the complexities of aging, the weight of legacy, and the evolution of the various identities Styles P has navigated throughout his decades-long tenure in the industry.
Reflecting on the project’s thematic core, Styles P noted, “In a spiritual sense, you’re always dealing with three different you’s. The past is what you’re dealing with, what you came up with.” He explained that the present represents a state of heightened awareness and gratitude, while the future remains a space for continued personal elevation.
Beyond the music, the rapper remains committed to his wellness-focused business ventures, including Juices For Life and Farmacy For Life. Strains For Life continues this mission by integrating cannabis education with community-driven programming. “My fanbase knows I eat and smoke plants,” he shared. “Strains For Life is for those who do the same.”
As he looks toward his final chapter in music, Styles P is clear about the legacy he hopes to leave behind. “What I would hope my impact would be,” he said, “is for those who have received my impact is to say, ‘He was genuine, he was honest, and he was raw and authentic.'”
