Nini Uppuluri: Young, Fearless, and Already Finding Her Voice
At just 14, Nini Uppuluri is doing more than most artists twice her age. She’s writing, producing, coding, and expressing herself through every project. Her songs, including “Lil Brother,” “If You Only Knew Me,” and “All That I Wanna Be,” each tell a different story, introducing a young artist who’s already learned to turn emotion into melody. “They’re all special to me in their own way,” she says, and you can feel that warmth in every lyric she writes.
Nini’s creativity doesn’t stop at songwriting. She plays both guitar and piano — “enough to get what I want out of them,” she says. Nini Uppuluri uses each of these skills to explore melodies that match her mood. By 14, she’s already released multiple singles and her debut EP, Lost and Found, available on all major streaming platforms. Her first official music video, “If You Only Knew Me,” filmed around a campfire in the woods, shows her natural screen presence and curiosity for creative direction and visual art.
When she’s not writing songs, Nini Uppuluri studies through an online high school, and she even finished her 11th-grade coursework early. In addition, she codes and writes short thrillers, creative outlets that demand both imagination and structure. “Coding requires practice — just like music — and to me it’s a form of self-expression,” she explains. “Instead of using my voice or a musical instrument, I use a computer or a cellphone to express whatever I’m thinking.”
This shows just how hardworking and talented the rising pop star is. She likes to try different things in life, and explore her capabilities.
Her creative instinct carries over into her writing as well. Inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Holly Jackson’s thrillers, she studies how imagery and emotion build tension. These are the lessons she channels straight into her lyrics.
Nini Uppuluri also speaks multiple languages. She’s fluent in English, can also speak Telugu, and at the moment she’s also learning German. She pours her heart and soul into everything she does, whether it’s writing a song, learning a new language, or coding.
Nini Uppuluri wants to show the world, especially teenagers her age, that talent and success have no age limit. You just have to believe in yourself and work very hard towards your goals. Follow Nini’s journey and let her be a reminder for you that you can do it all.
