Last fall, Monica announced that Trenches was slated to arrive on November 20, 2020. Later, after speaking with Volume West’s Lÿndsey Parker on SiriusXM, she explained that the launch date of her Apple Music radio show Mo Talk, along with the reception of the title track at radio, didn’t necessarily align with the initial album rollout.
She teased a winter 2021 release date, but unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the passing of her uncle, it was again delayed.
