We called it. Weeks after securing his first top 10 entry on urban adult contemporary (urban AC) radio, Lonr. takes a seat at the number one with his H.E.R.-assisted duet “Make the Most.” This is the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter’s first time advancing to the summit of any airplay chart.

The DJ Camper-produced track leads the pack as the most-played song on urban AC radio this week with over 2,200 radio spins, seeing a 122 spin increase from the previous week. It also fetches 9.5 million listener impressions.

“Make the Most” is lifted from Lonr.’s debut EP, Land of Nothing Real, which he released in April. In an exclusive interview with Rated R&B, the rising artist broke down the inspiration behind the track.

“The message is to make the most with the person you love,” Lonr. exclusively told Rated R&B. “The message that I wanted to put in the music video is tomorrow isn’t promised. Today could be your last day on Earth, so you really have to decide what you want to do with passion. I really wanted to express love in that song.”

In August, Lonr. released a new song, “The End,” and its accompanying music video.Â
