Lauren Jauregui's '50ft' Watch

Lauren Jauregui isn’t resting on her “Lento.” The singer has followed up her current bilingual hit with another new song, “50ft,” which she debuted last month on an episode of Streets Talkin‘s Live At-Home concert series.

The heartwarming video for “50ft” arrived on Friday (April 17), and celebrates the bond between family and friends. Jauregui is credited as a creative director on the visual alongside Inyegumena Nosegbe.

Jauregui also gave fans a bit of insight into the origins of the song on Monday (April 13), when she explained that the sultry track — with the chorus “Out of sight, out of mind/ I need you more than 50 feet away” — came from a very personal space. (The Cuban-American artist sings in both English and Spanish on the track, too.)

“I wrote it from a space of reflection on how I interact with the world energetically and this artwork truly encapsulates the feeling of distance spoken about in the song while asserting the closeness of my relationship to my loved ones,” she wrote.
