Joyce Wrice Announces Debut Album ‘Overgrown’
It’s a big year for Joyce Wrice. The emerging R&B star has announced her debut studio album Overgrown will arrive on March 19. She shared the cover artwork, along with details surrounding the forthcoming album, in a minute-long teaser.
Overgrown is executive produced by the Grammy-nominated vet D’Mile, who served the same role for Victoria Monét’s masterpiece Jaguar last year. It will feature the previously released lead single “So So Sick,†which arrived with a music video in late 2020.
It features appearances and contributions from Kaytranada, Lucky Daye, Masego, UMI, Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, Devin Morrison, Mndsgn, and ESTA.
Overgrown marks Wrice’s first project since 2017’s Good Morning. Prior to that release, Wrice dropped her debut EP Stay Around in 2016.
Earlier this month, Wrice joined Daye on “Falling In Love†from his Table for Two EP.
