John Legend Scores Eight Platinum RIAA Certifications
John Legend has earned several new awards from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The EGOT winner’s 2013 diamond-selling single “All of Me” is now certified 14X multi-platinum with more than 14 million copies sold. His album Love in the Future, which includes “All of Me,” has been certified 2x multi-platinum, while his third album, Evolver, has achieved platinum status.
But wait, there’s more.
Legend’s other platinum awards include: “Green Light” (2x multi-platinum); “Love Me Now” (2x multi-platinum); “Ordinary People” (2x multi-platinum); “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” featuring Ludacris (2x multi-platinum); “You & I (Nobody in the World)” (platinum); and “What Christmas Means to Me” featuring Stevie Wonder (platinum).
He also picked up a gold award for his Grammy-nominated single “Save Room” from his 2006 album, Once Again.
Last year, Legend gained two gold RIAA certifications, including “Wild” featuring Gary Clark, Jr. and “Conversations in the Dark.” The former track appears on his latest album, Bigger Love, and the latter is lifted from his 2016 LP, Darkness and Light.
In late 2021, Legend announced his new record deal with Republic Records. “I am excited to partner with Republic Records in this next chapter of my career,” he said in a past statement.
“Everyone at the label has been so wonderful to work with. I am thrilled to take this new artistic and creative journey with them and look forward to sharing new music with people soon.”
On April 22, Legend will begin his Love in Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. He will play 24 shows through Oct. 29.
