Harry Styles 'Stuck' in Los Angeles Due to Coronavirus
He misses his family in England.
Harry Styles is sheltering-in-place in Los Angeles during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, but he really wishes he was back home. The singer told Capital FM’s Roman Kemp on Tuesday that when the U.S. began shutting down in an effort to halt the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus it forced a difficult decision about where he would ride this out.
“I’m actually in California, I got stuck. I was supposed to be coming home then it got all a little sketchy with the flights,” he told Kemp on his breakfast show. “I’m really sad that I have to cancel it. I was really looking forward to coming home and spending some time with my mum and sister, and my family, but it’s for the best.”
Styles also lamented the decision to postpone his Love on Tour tour, which was supposed to launch in Birmingham, England, in April, pushing it back to 2021. “I think, honestly, it’s obviously disappointing but it’s not even close to being the most important thing at all right now… I think the most important thing right now is to keep everyone safe. I have to do that from, like, all of our crew point of view, as well as the fans coming to the shows. I don’t want to go to a show right now if this is the thing. It’s just about keeping everyone healthy and being safe and touring doesn’t sound super fun right now… But I’m really looking forward to it when it comes around. It’s next year now. It’s gonna be fun. We’ll be very ready by then.”
The good news is that Styles says he’s been writing new music, walking, reading and playing more instruments while trying to “not eat everything in the house.”
