Brandy, Nicole Scherzinger Perform New Theme Song for ‘The View’

Brandy and Nicole Scherzinger are behind the new theme song for season 25 of ABC’s The View. It’s titled “For My Girls,” and it was written by Diane Warren.

Warren penned the previous theme song, “World’s Gone Crazy,” performed by Mary J. Blige. The song and its accompanying visual debuted during cycle 20 in 2016 and played up until recently.

Brandy is no stranger to performing the theme song of a popular show, as she performed different versions of the opening credits track for Moesha from 1996-2001.

Other sync music from Brandy debuted this week. “Nasty Girl” is the first track taken from the upcoming ABC hip-hop drama Queens, in which the Grammy winner stars. The bass-heavy tune features her castmates Eve, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez. The show debuts on October 19.

In September, Brandy appeared on Eric Bellinger’s new album New Light. A month prior, she joined forces with Tiwa Savage for “Somebody’s Son” and released a beautiful video for “Starting Now,” the soundtrack of Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration.

Last year’s b7 was named the best R&B album of 2020 by Rated R&B.
