The 11-time Grammy winner’s prior high was “No Stoppin’ Us.” The Charlie Wilson-led song also features Johnny Gill and K-Ci Hailey. It eventually topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, staying for three weeks.

Keeps On Fallin’” is Babyface’s second male-female pairing hit No. 1, apart from “Hurt You,” featuring Toni Braxton in late 2013.

As for Mai, she visited the summit in late June with “DFMU,” which also shot to No. 1 on the Adult R&B chart. The song, co-produced by Mustard and J. Holt, appears on Mai’s sophomore album, Heart On My Sleeve, released in May.

Babyface is on the campaign trail for Girls Night Out, his forthcoming album that arrives Oct. 29. It will mark his first album for Capitol Records and his first since 2015’s Return Of The Tender Lover.

He shared “Keeps On Fallin’” as the album’s lead single on June 17, performing it at the 2022 BET Awards shortly after that.

Not too long, Babyface shared the official tracklist and cover artwork for Girls Night Out. The 13-track album will feature previously released songs “Seamless” with Kehlani and the Queen Naija-assisted “Game Over,” which accompanied the cover and tracklist.

Ari Lennox, Sevyn Streeter, Tiana Major9, Coco Jones, Baby Tate, Angie Martinez and Lalah Anthony are among the other guests to feature on the album that comprises all women.

“I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it,” Babyface said of the album’s concept. “The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear.”

In celebration of Usher’s iconic album My Way, which turned 25 this month, Babyface gave commentary on his involvement.

Mai is touring alongside Mary J. Blige on the Good Morning Gorgeous Tour. The Grammy winner could not perform at night two in Washington, D.C., due to “major technical difficulties.” The next stop is Sept. 21 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. Queen Naija will also perform.

On tour, Mai’s setlist includes material from her Grammy-nominated self-titled debut album and music from Heart On My Sleeve, including songs “How” featuring Roddy Rich and “Not Another Love Song.” The former tune is being pushed at urban radio, while the latter is now certified gold.
