August Alsina‘s debut album, Testimony, has been certified platinum by the RIAA. It’s his first full-length project to receive a certification. The album was released in April 2014.

Testimony opened at number one on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and number two on the Billboard 200. It was highlighted by “I Luv This Sh*t” featuring Trinidad James, which recently became a double-platinum single for Alsina.

Some of the album’s songs, such as the Jeezy-featured “Make it Home” and the fan-favorite cut “Kissin’ On My Tattoos,” were among the five new RIAA certifications Alsina collected earlier this spring. The 17-track LP totals seven certified songs.

In June 2020, Alsina returned with The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy, his third proper album. He issued the album alongside a five-part documentary chronicling its preparation.
