Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected release date from federal prison has been moved up again, according to updated Bureau of Prisons records. The hip-hop mogul is now scheduled to conclude his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on Feb. 5, 2028. This latest adjustment marks a shift from his previous projected release date of Feb. 20, 2028.

This modification represents a reduction of more than two weeks in his federal incarceration timeline. Since entering custody, Combs’ release date has been subject to several adjustments, reflecting the ongoing nature of federal custody and credit calculations managed by the Bureau of Prisons.

In July 2025, a federal jury convicted Sean “Diddy” Combs on two counts related to the transportation of individuals across state lines for prostitution. These charges were linked to allegations of sexual encounters that prosecutors characterized as “freak offs.” While the government alleged that Combs orchestrated these encounters involving his partners and male sex workers—often recording the events—the jury ultimately acquitted him of more severe charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Following the conviction, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs in October 2025 to a term of four years and two months. He began serving this sentence at FCI Fort Dix shortly thereafter. During his time in federal custody, reports have emerged regarding his experiences within the facility, including a brief period in solitary confinement following an alleged altercation with another inmate.

His initial projected release date was set for June 2028, which was subsequently moved to January 2028, before shifting to Feb. 20, and now to the current date of Feb. 5, 2028.
