Jay-Z’s Alleged ‘Son’ Rymir Satterthwaite Drops Decade Long Paternity Lawsuit
For about a decade, Rymir Satterthwaite has been in public conversation for having filed a case against rap icon, Jay-Z. Satterthwaite’s claims were shocking: that Jay-Z is his father, and in fact had a relationship with his mother Wanda, in the year 1992. This was especially shocking to the general public, considering that she’d have been 16 at the time, and Jay-Z’d be 22. However, previously, courts have often denied the claims owing to lack of evidence.
Notably, in 2010, Wanda requested a paternity test for two people in question, Jay-Z and Robert Graves. Graves took the test and was determined to not be the father, and Jay-Z never showed up. To fans, this made sense; after all, why would Jay-Z even entertain his own participation in what seemed to be a smear campaign? On the other hand, there were the multiple lawsuits that Wanda then filed, which although mostly dismissed, casted some doubt on the rap mogul’s image.

Time and again, the courts have dismissed the claims — eight filings to be precise. Even though Rymir’s mother passed away in 2019, he has continued the fight with support from his aunt. This was, of course, until now. Rymir Satterthwaite has officially withdrawn the lawsuit against Jay-Z. The decade long tussle has now come to an end, although the public continues to contemplate on the matter. This story was first reported by Eurweb.
