Teyana Taylor is going after her dreams one at a time. For three years, Taylor and her all-femme production team, The Aunties, have been behind the creation of fantastic music videos for Monica, Queen Naija, Macy Gray, and many more.

Their meeting of the minds fueled the eye-catching film concept for Taylor’s House of Petunia residency. Taylor’s eye for detail even won her several top awards, including Video Director of the Year at both the 2020 BET Awards and 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Taylor and The Aunties co-founder Courtney Gilbert are now upping the ante, expanding beyond the production realm to a full-service company. The Aunties 360, the duo’s new venture, will offer one-stop services at a five-acre lot where they’ll offer “production, dance, recording, prop studios, equipment and 360 green screen rooms for creatives.”

In sharing the announcement on her Instagram, Taylor further explained its new move’s mission. “The Aunties is more than just a sisterhood, but we nurture artist[s] like ourselves, artist[s] that visualize the unseen, touch the untouchable, and try what most would consider unthinkable,” she wrote. “We represent opportunity, for the best of the best had an opportunity to start.”

Last year, Taylor released The Album. Said to be her “most vigorous efforts to date,” Taylor’s third record was praised by Rated R&B as one of the 30 best R&B albums of 2020.
