"It's so important for us to all feel empowered, invincible and strong from the inside out," the singer wrote.

Demi Lovato said she thought long and hard about whether to stick to the April 2 release date of her latest Fabletics fashion line. Given the way the world has turned upside down due to the novel coronavirus, Lovato tweeted on Tuesday (March 31) that though she was eager to share the new items, “recently we’ve watched our world change and have though hard about holding off on the launch.”

But after reflecting for a few days, she said she realized that this is actually the best time to inspire others with her capsule collection, which has always been about “channeling your inner strength.”

So, in a nod to the seriousness of the moment, Lovato revealed that Fabletics will donate $5 from every item sold to provide badly needed gear for frontline workers on the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund of the World Health Organization; the pledge will include up to $125,000 from now through June 30.

“In addition to lifting up those in need right now, it’s so important for us all to feel empowered, invincible, and strong from the inside out,” she wrote. “My collection is designed to do just that — uplifting you with bold colors and amazing contouring for the biggest confidence boost. I love how these styles make you feel so supported when you put them on.”

Lovato recently released the equally uplifting singe “I Love Me” and sang a rousing “Skyscraper” on Sunday night’s iHeartConcert on Fox.
