'Weird Al' Yankovic To Play Ted Nugent on 'Reno 911!' Reboot
Who says we can’t have nice things during lockdown? On Wednesday (April 29), we learned that the upcoming Quibi reboot of belovedly bonkers sitcom Reno 911! has added a very special guest star.
Spoof song king “Weird Al” Yankovic confirmed that he’s on board with a cast photo in which he’s suited up in an American flag shirt and matching hat, along with a tasty chin beard that makes him look a bit like… wait, what?
“Finally, some good news in the world – after an 11-year hiatus, one of the funniest shows of all time is BACK! The new season of Reno 911 begins streaming on @Quibi on May 4. (Oh, and I show up at one point as Ted Nugent.),” he wrote, letting the cat (scratch fever) out of the bag about his cameo as the camo- and gun-loving right-wing guitar slinger.
Interestingly, the preview pic also tips its hat to another musical drive-by, with another cast member dressed up as fellow gun-toting conservative Kid Rock:
