Thundercat Announces ‘It Is What It Is Tour’ Dates
Thundercat is making a roaring return to the road this year, and he’s bringing along Channel Tres for the ride. The first five dates are festivals, including Maha Music Festival and the Pitchfork Music Festival, and each omits Tres from its itinerary.
Thundercat makes it up to the Compton native with a range of official It Is What It Is Tour dates, touching down first at Orlando, Fla.’s The Plaza Live on October 24. New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York, Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles, and Portland are additional cities that make up the North American trek before ending at the Knitting Factory in Boise, Idaho, on December 5.
Tickets for Thundercat’s It Is What It Is Tour go on sale this Friday (June 11) on his official website.
This year, Thundercat won Best Progressive R&B Album for his fourth album under his moniker at the 63rd Grammy Awards. It Is What It Is was dubbed one of Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020, coming in at No. 30.
