The Game in $7 Million Debt: Loses California Home to Sexual Assault Accuser
A legal battle spanning nearly a decade has resulted in The Game losing his California mansion, as reported by AllHipHop. The rapper, who was accused of sexual assault, found himself at the losing end of a legal tussle first in 2016 when the court ruled in favor of survivor Priscilla Rainey. According to the judgement, she was to receive $7.13 million. The court has now been able to fulfil this by ordering the sale of aforementioned property.
It all began in 2015, when Rainey, who was a contestant on the show She’s Got Game, sued the rapper for inappropriate touching during production. The Game ended up not attending the hearings and the trial — resulting in an obvious default judgement in favour of Rainey. In 2016, she was awarded the $7.13 million, out of which $1.3 million pertained to compensatory damages with a $6 million slapped on top in punitive damage.
In the past, The Game has staunchly defended his stance — but mostly on the internet, where he claimed that Rainey was bitter over having ‘kicked off’ the show. He even mentioned that other girls on the show would probably side with him — that he did not touch Rainey.
