Mark E. Smith — the legendary frontman for the Fall — has reportedly died. He would have been 60 years old.
While not yet confirmed, a message posted on the Fall News fansite reads as follows:
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing Mark E. Smith. He passed this morning at home. A more detailed statement will follow in the next few days. In the meantime, Pam & Mark’s family request privacy at this sad time.

As you can see, the message is apparently from Fall manager Pam Van Damned. However, the band’s ficial channels have yet to confirm Smith’s passing.
