Syleena Johnson Readies ‘Woman’ Deluxe Album, Shares New Song ‘Never Been Better’

Syleena Johnson has let go of some serious baggage on her new song “Never Been Better.” 

Set against an organ-based backdrop, the Chicago native seals her goodbye to a scorched love without a kiss or a forwarding address. 

With Johnson’s voice drenched in emotion and power, she lets her undeserving lover know she is moving on with her life.

“Never Been Better” is the first new song lifted from Johnson’s upcoming album, The Making of a Woman, the deluxe edition of last year’s Woman.

The updated collection contains a new intro and two new tracks, along with already-shared songs “Freelance Lover” and the title track. 

The Making of a Woman makes its digital drop on April 23 via SJ Entertainment / Entertainment One. Two days after the album arrives, Johnson’s episode of Unsung will premiere on TV One at 9 p.m. ET.
