Swizz Beatz And Alicia Keys Have Never Had An Arguemnt

If you asked Swizz Beatz what is a major component of a successful marriage, he would advise you to keep the arguments to a minimum.

During an interview with US Weekly, the super producer claimed that he and his wife, legendary R&B singer Alicia Keys, have never had an argument.

“Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend. The communication is there. We’ve never had an argument,” Swizz explained. “Since we’ve been together, our kids [have] never seen it; never seen us raise our voice [or] never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication.”

While they do have their disagreements, they’ve committed to expressing themselves in other ways instead of arguing.

“When you yell at each other, no one is really listening anyway. Nothing gets solved in each other’s yelling,” he added.

Swizz also spoke about the importance of giving your partner the freedom to be themselves.

 “People think they can own people. You can’t. It’s not property that you own. There’s a whole human, right? So, we’re very clear on that. She’s her own boss. I’m my own boss,” Swizz said. “That’s how we make magic when we come together. I think that helps because people start getting very territorial and making their partner property, and I think that’s the biggest mistake.”

Married since 2010, he and Keys share two sons: 14-year-old Egypt and 10-year-old Genesis. Swizz is also a father to older sons, Prince Nasir, 24, and Kaseem Jr, 18, as well as a daughter Nicole, 16.
