On Thursday (Feb.6), the NFL hosted its annual Honors ceremony, to pay homage to sports entertainment’s best and brightest. Snoop Dogg had been tapped as the host and helped set the tone for the night. However, there was one moment that grabbed everyone’s attention. During one of his sets, Snoop Dogg addressed the controversy surrounding NFL coach Bill Belichick, 72, and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, 24. The crowd seemingly erupted in laughter following the rapper’s joke.

“I remember when the Cowboys were good, when the Chiefs were bad… and I remember—what was it—Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet?” Belichick and Hudson, who share a 48-year-age difference, began dating back in 2023. Despite the flurry of conversation around the relationship, the two appear happier than ever and even share a few chuckles at Snoop’s joke.

Snoop Dogg Still Facing Onslaught Of Criticism After Performing For Trump Crypto Ball

In other news, Snoop Dogg is still receiving major criticism after performing at a pre-inaugural event for Donald Trump. The decision likely didn’t go over well because of several controversial comments Donald Trump made throughout his campaign — including a comment about people of Haitian descent eating “cats and dogs.” Shortly after, a clip of Snoop Dogg circulated where he called out Black artists who performed at Trump’s 2016 Inauguration. However, it looks like he’s changed his tune.

He’s not only received backlash from activists like Kevin Powell, who said that Snoop doesn’t value his fans from marginalized communities, but he lost 20,000 followers on his X account. Snoop, 53, has addressed the controversy head-on in an Instagram video. The rapper pushed back against the criticism, saying, “Y’all can’t hate enough me for me, I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man. Still a hundred percent Black. I ain’t going nowhere, cuh!”
