Don’t look for botox on the menu at P!nk’s next party.

We've come to expect nothing less than pure honesty from P!nk over the years. And in a series of tweets on Monday morning (Jan. 20), the "Love Me Anyway" singer served up some real talk about getting older in the biz. P!nk, who turned 40 in September, offered her sage advice in the form of a letter to herself, a reminder to love what you see when you look in the mirror.

"Letter to self; Dear Me, you’re getting older.I see lines.Especially when you smile.Your nose is getting bigger..You look(and feel) weird as you get used to this new reality," began the string of tweets. "But your nose looks like your kids, and your face wrinkles where you laugh. And yeah you idiot..u smoked."

It went on to note that everyone once in a while the thought might pop up that "altering your face" is a good idea, but then you watch a show "where you want to see what the person is feeling" and their face is frozen in place. That, she says, is something she just can't get behind.

The singer who has defied the odds to remain at the top of the pop game for decades, forged her own path and often bucked the system to great success says she feels lucky to never have depended on her looks alone to sell tickets and albums. "I've decided that my talent and my individuality is far more important than my face," she says, warning that she's about to age the old fashioned way. In her case, it seems, that is "in a tutu ruling s–t at 30 mph 100 ft in the air over 40."

Bottom line, the mother of two says, is: "I want my children to know what I look like when I'm angry."

P!nk recently pledged $500,000 to help combat the deadly brushfires in Australia, with funds earmarked for the local firefighters on the frontlines battling the blazes that have killed more than two dozen, destroyed over 2,000 home and reportedly killed up to a billion animals.
