Playboi Carti Hints at 2025 Domination, With Latto in Tow
Playboi Carti teased a massive 2025, sharing moments with Latto.
On Monday (January 20), Carti shared several photos of him and the “Georgia Peach” rapper, both of them donning high-end designer outfits. He wrote in the caption, “HUMBLE LIKE A MF BUT DIS YEAR MINE. LATTO AH REAL 1.” Carti was captured at the club, vibing as his unreleased verse from Latto’s “Blick Sum” filled the room.
Fan Frustration Peaks as Carti’s Broken Promises Spark Petition for Streaming Ban
Playboi Carti fans are expressing frustration after his verse on Latto’s third album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, was noticeably absent and remains unreleased. This disappointment adds to Carti’s ongoing delays with his highly anticipated album, I AM MUSIC, casting doubt on his claims of a 2025 takeover.
One fan’s frustration escalated to action, sparking a petition demanding Carti’s removal from streaming platforms. The petition, now supported by over 8,000 signatures, criticizes the rapper for repeatedly failing to deliver on album release promises.
“Playboi Carti has consistently deceived and disappointed his loyal fanbase by making empty promises about album releases,” the petition states. It references his December 14, 2023, assurance of a 2024 album release, which has yet to materialize. Instead, fans have received only scattered snippets and unofficial releases on YouTube and Instagram.
“This repeated cycle of unfulfilled commitments demonstrates a lack of respect for his fans’ time and support,” the petition continues. It calls for Carti to be banned from music platforms until he fulfills his promises and rebuilds trust with his audience.
Carti, whose last album, Whole Lotta Red, debuted in late 2020, teased new material throughout 2024, even previewing tracks during his December headlining set at Rolling Loud. However, the absence of a full release has left fans increasingly skeptical of his intentions.
