Pink Talks Coronavirus In 'Ellen' Interview: Watch
P!nk called into The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (April 8) to talk for the first time about being diagnosed with COVID-19 along with her three-year-old-son.
“It was terrifying at one point,” the pop star told host Ellen DeGeneres of watching her three-year-old son Jameson come down with a litany of symptoms. “Then I got sick…In hindsight it all makes sense, but when it’s happening, it’s such a weird experience you just don’t put it together until after the fact, or until days go by.”
P!nk went on to describe her symptoms as consisting of fatigue, chills, nausea and severe breathing problems that required the use of a nebulizer, but claimed she “never had what they tell you to look for” including a fever.
“I have this inhaler that I use — a rescue inhaler — and I couldn’t function without it, and that’s when I started to get really scared,” she said, “because of all the stuff, you can’t help but watch the news every day and I’m like, ‘Oh my god. Wow, all the crazy stuff I did, like this is it? This is the way it ends?'”
Thankfully, after getting ahold of a single test, both the superstar and her son have recovered and are on the mend from the virus, though she tearfully described the experience as “the scariest thing I’ve ever, ever been through in my whole life.”
