North West Delivers Japanese Verse on FKA Twigs’ ‘Eusexua’ Album
North West is stepping into the next chapter of her music journey, featuring on FKA Twigs‘ new album Eusexa, nearly a year after her debut on Ye‘s Vultures 1.
North, 11-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, raps in Japanese on “Childlike Things,” the eighth track from FKA Twigs’ latest 11-song release, which dropped Friday (Jan. 24). With a lively electronic dance backdrop, North energetically delivers the following verse, translated via Google: “Hello, I’m North/ From California to Tokyo/ Jesus the King/ Praise God/ Jesus is the only true God.”
Skims mogul and Ye’s firstborn daughter is also listed as a writer on the song. Kardashian took to her Instagram Story to hype up the release, posting a link and captioning with excitement, “@fkatwigs ft NORTH out now!”
“Childlike Things” marks North’s musical debut outside of Ye’s influence, who collaborated with her on “Talking” from Vultures 1 earlier in 2024. That same year, Ye dropped Vultures 2, featuring North on “Bomb,” with Chicago West joining them. Twigs, too, has a history with Ye, having teamed up with the rapper and Skrillex on Ty Dolla $ign’s 2020 hit, “Ego Death.”
North’s latest release follows closely behind Ye’s Instagram post, where he shared that he’s been mentoring his eldest child in his musical journey. In a video, he’s seen offering the 11-year-old advice on rapping. “This little girl made me love music again,” he expressed in another update, accompanying a photo of North by a keyboard. He continued, “She asked me to make beats for her I got back on the ASR.” “Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beats with my bare hand for BULLY.”
