New Forbes List Finally Recognises Dr. Dre As A Billionaire

59 Dr. Dre is many things, including deemed by many as “hip hop’s first billionaire” after his Beats deal with Apple. However, now, Dr. Dre has reached an elite level of wealth based on Forbes’ criteria.
The Beats-Apple deal was a monumental milestone for Dre, valued at 3.2 Billion US Dollars. Now according to the new Forbes List, Dre joins “an elite group of celebrities who have recently crossed the three-comma threshold” — he is now the sixth musician besides Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen & Taylor Swift to make the cut.
According to Variety, Dre is now ranked 3332nd on the world’s richest list, albeit at a tie with Rihanna and many others.
