Nelly Avoids Answering Hall Pass Question

After reconciling and then marrying Ashanti, Nelly has proven himself to be a man a wisdom and recently avoided questions about hall passes.

Appearing on the latest Complex’s GOAT Talk, Ashanti pulled a green card that asked who Nelly’s  “GOAT hall pass” would be.

Without hesitation, Nelly dodged the question.

“That’s a dumbass question,” Nelly said. “Who do y’all think y’all about to set up with that shit? There’s no way, I’m 50,” he added as Ashanti clapped in approval.

“I could never fall for that trap. Who the hell answered that with their wife sitting across from them?” Nelly continued. “Gotta be an idiot.

Approving all the way, Ashanti gave Nelly a high-five.

As the interview went on, the power couple shared how building a family is the essential “GOAT” move. In December 2023, they married in a private ceremony and welcomed their first child together, a son, Kareem, in July 2024.

When asked about the “GOAT thing about being back together now versus then,” Ashanti said, “Having a child and, like, having a real family unit.”

“For me, it’s the thighs, baby,” Nelly joked, as Ashanti laughed. “Like, you always had ‘em. But them thangs now? Them thangs thangin’.”

During a red carpet appearance in March, Ashanti shared her eagerness to welcome more children into their lives, enthusiastically declaring, “Let’s go!” when asked about expanding their family. Her excitement was evident as she reflected on the joy of motherhood, saying, “Looking at my baby’s face, it’s just like, ‘Oh, one or two more!’”
