Nas & DJ Premier ‘Light-Years’ First Week Sales
Nas and DJ Premier released their much anticipated new album Light-Years last Friday which has been the talk of town on social media.
While some listeners are enjoying the throwback classic sound of the project, others are complaining about some of the apparent uninspired sounding beats from Preemo. While the album is not perfect in our opinion, it certainly is a type of set that becomes better with each listen.
Today, we have the first week sales. HDD reports that the album will move 21k copies in the first week which will earn a $46 position on the Billboard 200 chart next week.
Premier’s manager Ian reacted to the news:
Independent in every way. And wait until the vinyls and cd’s hit. This is week one. Let’s see where we are 1 year, 5 years and 10 years from now. I’m celebrating the thought of how good every sync to tv, movies and video games will feel knowing it comes directly to us! https://t.co/siKuqbvLCG
