The incident occurred while she was dining with a companion at the fast-food establishment.

Security footage showed an unidentified woman approaching the rapper’s table and questioning her about her origins before the confrontation turned violent. The assailant reportedly reached over the table to strike the artist, leading to a physical struggle that eventually moved outside of the restaurant.

Monica, known for her candid personality and upbringing in Atlanta, shared that her environment required her to learn how to protect herself from a young age. While the singer emphasized that she does not advocate for violence, she insisted that women must be prepared to defend their physical space. Monica noted that growing up, she “had no choice but to have hands.” She expressed, “Never allow someone to walk up on you or stand over you during an argument,” advising her fans to remain vigilant of their surroundings and to recognize the tactical disadvantage of someone standing over them while they are seated.
