Method Man And Kelly Rowland To Star To Amazon MGM Comedy ‘Relationship Goals’

Method Man and Kelly Rowland are set to star in the new romantic comedy Relationship Goals, reports Deadline. Based on Michael Todd’s New York Times bestseller Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex. Todd’s viral sermon series spent 13 weeks on the bestseller list and debuted at No. 1 on Amazon. The film will be released on Amazon MGM Studios.

Linda Mendoza, who worked on the sitcom series Harlem and Survival of the Thickest, will direct from a script written by Laura Lekkos. 

Robin Thede and Annie Gonzalez will also star in the film.

According to the description, Relationship Goals “is a funny and inspiring romantic comedy on finding lasting love and sustaining a healthy relationship at every stage of courtship.”

Before landing the role in Relationship Goals, Meth starred in all four seasons of the hit drama Power Book II: Ghost which airs on Starz.  He has earned three NAACP Image Awards for “Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” for portraying attorney Davis MacLean. He also can be seen in Bad Shabbos, On the Come Up on Paramount+ Meth will also star in Maude Apatow’s directorial debut Poetic License, and as a guest star in Season 2 of Poker Face on Peacock. 

Rowland’s acting credits include starring in Netflix’s Tyler Perry film Mea Culpa, Think Like A Man, Freddy vs. Jason, The Curse of Bridge Hollow, and produced and starred in Merry Liddle Christmas Baby. She also guest starred on several series including Girlfriends, Empire, American Soul, Being Mary Jane, and L.A.’s Finest. Also, she executive produced her docuseries Chasing Destiny and co-produced a digital series called Milk + Honey alongside Idris Elba and Issa Rae.
