Melyssa Ford To Drake: “Where’s My Check?”

Melyssa Ford has called out Drake for using her image on a hoodie from his latest merch collection, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, without her consent. During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Ford expressed her frustration over the unauthorized use of her photo and demanded compensation.

Ford, a former video vixen and media personality, revealed that the hoodie’s release blindsided her. The design features an image of her alongside a link directing users to Budden’s Patreon page. Ford made it clear she was unaware of Drake’s plans and had not been contacted beforehand.

“What the fuck is going on?” she asked, visibly frustrated. “Where’s my check? Where’s my fucking check? That’s what I want to know.”

Budden pressed Ford on whether she had been paid for the image, to which she firmly responded, “No! I woke up to it. And I’m just like, ‘I have bigger fish to fry than this shit right now.’” She also hinted at the possibility that she owns the rights to the photo, speculating that it might be from her first calendar shoot. Ford confirmed she had reached out to Drake via direct message to address the issue.

Meanwhile, Budden took a different stance, jokingly hoping that the hoodie sells out and brings more attention to his platform. “I hope that motherfucker sells, boy,” he said. “Type in the website. Type in the Melyssa Ford Drake website.”

The hoodie drop follows Drake’s recent lyrical nod to both Ford and Budden on “GIMME A HUG,” a track from his collaborative project with PARTYNEXTDOOR. In the song, he raps, “Melyssa Ford, you a legend from the 6, hate to see you with a dick-sucker.”

The line references Ford’s influence in hip-hop culture while taking a shot at an unnamed individual associated with her.

Drake’s history with Budden has been marked by public spats and lyrical jabs, making this latest merch stunt feel like another chapter in their ongoing rivalry.
