Mary J. Blige’s ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ Enters Top 10 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart

86 “Good Morning Gorgeous,” the title track and lead single from Mary J. Blige’s upcoming 14th studio album, has entered the top 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart at No. 8 this week. This feat extends Blige’s record as the artist with the most top 10s (24) on this chart.
The last time Blige got this close to the top 10 was in August 2019 with “Know,” a heart-rending anthem produced by Sounwave. She previously occupied this space in 2018 with The First Choice-sampled “Only Love,” which rose to No. 5.
Blige’s most significant success on the Adult R&B Airplay list is 2016’s massive hit “Thick of It.” The DJ Camper-produced cut, co-written by Jazmine Sullivan, marked the longest consecutive number-one stint in her career on this chart with 16 weeks at the top.
It was also the quickest climb to the peak since Whitney Houston’s 1995 hit “Exhale (Shoop Shoop).”

“Good Morning Gorgeous” was released alongside the DJ Khaled-featured single “Amazing,” which has a supporting video dropping soon.
On Feb. 11, 2022, Blige’s next album will be released on her imprint Mary J. Blige Productions, in partnership with 300 Entertainment. It arrives two days ahead of her co-headlining Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show.
