Lucky Daye has announced the title of his new album. CANDYDRIP is slated to arrive some time in 2022. It marks his first release since 2021’s Table For Two, now nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album.

The new LP also comes two years after his critically acclaimed debut album, Painted, another Grammy-nominated work and a year-end list favorite.

Daye launched his new era in September with “Over,” a growing radio single that he performed at the recent Soul Train Awards.

In tandem with his latest album announcement, he shares the title track, “Candy Drip,” which was co-written and produced by Oscar and Grammy-winner D’Mile.

Following the months after releasing Table For Two, Daye collaborated with a handful of his peers, including Sinéad Harnett, VanJess, Alex Isley and Masego, BJ the Chicago Kid, and most recently, Khalid.

He also teamed with the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire for “You Want My Love.”

Apart from his proper tracks released for CANDYDRIP, Daye shared a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy Mercy Me (The Eulogy)” for Spotify and “Running Blind” for Juneteenth.

He also secured his first-ever RIAA certification for his debut single “Roll Some Mo.” It was certified gold.

Beyond his 2022 Best Progressive R&B Album nomination, Daye is up for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “How Much Can A Heart Take” featuring Yebba at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
