In Lil Wayne’s opinion, there’s only one reason why the Kansas City Chiefs bested the Houston Texans in a recent game: cheating. “I hate the cheating azz chiefs,” Lil Wayne posted on X Jan. 18. He followed up with another post, writing, “It’s not even impressive when u cheat and then clearly try to cheat … Just win baby.” However, Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce respectfully disagrees.

The NFL star spoke candidly with his brother Jason about the situation, on their New Heights podcast. The football player says that Wayne’s comments didn’t bother him, which makes sense, considering he’s a huge fan of the New Orleans native. In 2024, the rapper performed at the athlete’s Kelce Jam. “I’m sure you saw some of this, but [people] were complaining about the refs again, Trav,” Jason says to Travis. “Even Lil Wayne,” he added to which Travis responded with a laugh, “Shout out to Tunechi, man.”
