Lil’ Kim Hopes For A Monsoon To Save L.A. From Wildfires
According to reports, Lil’ Kim expressed her sympathy for those affected by the Los Angeles fires through a controversial social media post.
On Tuesday, the New York artist shared a message on her Instagram Story, which she later re-shared on both Instagram and X, formerly Twitter. She posted the screenshot, adding a prayer emoji in the caption, “#PrayForLA.” “Been sending strong prayers up for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking. I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon in LA.”
The relentless fires in Los Angeles have placed millions at risk, as strong winds sustain the devastation. Nearly 17 million Californians now face a dust and ash warning, impacting vast regions of the state. At least 25 people have died, and up to 12,000 structures have been leveled by the flames. While many Angelenos are yearning for relief, a monsoon’s winds and rains could worsen the crisis. Meanwhile, Lil’ Kim has sparked outrage with her claim that her memoir could surpass the Holy Bible in sales, a statement that has drawn significant backlash.
In other news, after years of battling bankruptcy, Lil’ Kim has finally cleared a significant six-figure debt owed to the U.S. federal government.
Reports indicate that the IRS filed a federal tax lien against the rapper in May. The lien claimed she owed $150,775 for 2022, coming two years after multiple liens totaling $1 million were released against her. The IRS revealed that Kim, now 49, had failed to settle years of tax bills, including amounts of $232,000 in 2003, $58,000 in 2005, $188,000 in 2006, $124,000 in 2007, $397,148 in 2008, and $211,000 in 2016. By 2012, the rapper’s federal tax debt had already reached $1 million.
