LeBron James is fully aware of the pressure that Bronny is facing as a rookie in the NBA.

Appearing on the New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, LeBron spoke about how Bronny has handled being in the spotlight.

“I didn’t have to deal with my father being this f***ing guy on the pedestal. I didn’t have to deal with that. Bronny has to deal with all of that,” LeBron said.

“Bronny doesn’t have to play basketball at all. It’s not like he needs the money.”

Travis also chimed in about Bronny’s maturity and his ability to handle all that comes with being LeBron’s son.

“He’s handled the hype and the scrutiny and everything so perfect,” Kelce shared.

LeBron also revealed how he first conceived the idea of playing with Bronny when he was just 14 years old. During his 15th season, LeBron remembers speaking with his son about teaming up.

“I think Bronny was either in the 7th or 8th grade and it was my 15th year in the NBA, and I felt incredible,” LeBron explained. “I came out of that season, I felt so damn good. And I think somebody caught me like, ‘Do you think it’s a possibility that you may stick around and play with one of your kids?’ I was like, ‘Man, the way I feel right now, there is a possibility.’

At the season opener in October, LeBron and Bronny made NBA history as the first father/son duo to play in the same game.

Following the game, LeBron the Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared a heartfelt sentiment about the moment.

“It’s always been family over everything. For me, I lost a lot of time because of this league and committing to this league. Being on the road at times, missing a lot of his things, Bryce’s things, Zhuri’s things, so to be able to have this moment where I’m working still and I can work alongside my son, it’s one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever gotten from the man above and I’m going to take full advantage of it.”
