
La La Anthony And Kim Kardashian To Star In ‘Group Chat’ On Hulu
La La Anthony and Kim Kardashian are set to star in a new Hulu series titled Group Chat, Deadline reports.
The satirical comedy is written and executive produced by Kenya Barris, creator of Black-ish. Anthony and Kardashian are also executive producers on the project.
Taking to Instagram, Anthony shared excitement about working with Kardashian and Barris on the project.
“Group Chat is COMING TO HULU!!!!! Everyone’s invited to our group chat @kimkardashian 😬😬😬 excited to do this with you @kenyabarris!!!,” her post read.
Loosely based on Anthony’s bestselling book, The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness, Group Chat “revolves around five fly, successful women in their 40s who have conquered L.A. and seemingly have it all. But behind their picture-perfect lives is a secret group chat where the real drama unfolds. In their world, the truth is messier, more unfiltered, and juicier than anyone could imagine.”
As an actress, Anthony came to prominence for her role on Starz’s Power. She also was series regular on BMF and had recurring role on Showtime’s The Chi. Anthony also appeared on Barris’ show Grown-ish and in You People. In 2014, she penned her fist book The Love Playbook and followed it up with The Power Playbook.
Kardashian currently stars in Hulu’s top unscripted series, The Kardashians, and is set to star in and executive producing the upcoming Ryan Murphy legal drama series All’s Fair.
Along with the Black-ish franchise, Barris executive produces the BET+ series Diarra From Detroit, created by and starring Diarra Kilpatrick, and The Vince Staples Show for Netflix, He also wrote and directed the movie You People.
