Kylie Jenner Sued by Former Housekeeper for Alleged Discrimination
Kylie Jenner is facing a new legal challenge after a former domestic employee filed a lawsuit alleging systemic discrimination and workplace harassment. The complaint, filed last week by former housekeeper Angelica Vasquez, claims that she was subjected to a hostile work environment while employed at Jenner’s estate.
Vasquez alleges she was targeted based on her religion and national origin, according to court documents first obtained by TMZ. In the filing, Vasquez describes a workplace culture defined by “hostility and exclusion.” She alleges that other staff members engaged in “severe and pervasive harassment” and that she was frequently isolated from the rest of the housekeeping department.
Vasquez reportedly claims she was forced to handle the most difficult and unpleasant cleaning duties as a form of punishment or bias. The former employee further alleges that she was publicly belittled and humiliated in front of her peers. According to the lawsuit, this treatment was specifically linked to her race and religious background.
Vasquez states that the environment became so toxic that she developed anxiety, extreme stress, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, which she claims led to further bullying from colleagues. Vasquez is seeking a variety of financial remedies, including punitive damages and restitution for what she describes as unlawfully withheld compensation. The lawsuit specifically identifies unpaid wages, missed meal and rest periods, unreimbursed business expenses, and unpaid sick leave as part of the total sought.
Jenner has not yet released a formal statement or public response regarding the litigation. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County, where Jenner maintains several multimillion-dollar properties. No court date has been set for the initial hearings as the legal teams begin the discovery process.
