52 Even though Justin Bieber was more focused on showing off his mustache to his Instagram followers on Thursday (Jan. 30), there's something else peeking out in the photo: a new tattoo.
TMZ discovered the fresh laurel-wreath ink across his collarbone when the "Yummy" singer was spotted outside the gym in LA on Thursday and a friend was pictured closely inspecting the symbol.
Ancient Greeks have traditionally worn laurel wreaths to symbolize victory during Olympic competitions or poetic meets, which could signal an era of triumph for Bieber, thanks to his return to the spotlight in 2020 with his forthcoming fifth studio album Changes, due Feb 14.
But the leaf itself was also believed to have physical healing qualities, which could be another interpretation for his ink of choice after opening up about his Lyme disease diagnosis earlier this month.
