Jimmy Henchman has maintained his innocence following a life sentence for a murder-for-hire plot but unfortunately, the jury didn’t see it the same way. According to Billboard, Jimmy Henchman’s bid to appeal his conviction has been denied. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal decided that his sentence should stay.

Henchman was convicted for the murder of 50 Cent and G-Unit affiliate Lodi Mack in retaliation for assaulting his then 14-year-old son. Lodi Mack and Tony Yayo were both involved in the assault against Henchman’s kid and were later convicted. Henchman hired a crew to murder Lodi Mack weeks after his release from prison on the assault conviction. Lodi Mack was murdered in 2009 in the Bronx.

Henchman was already sentenced to two life sentences for a separate drug and gun convictions but this particular case went through a few trials. The first trial concluded with a hung jury before a second trial commenced. That one ended with a conviction and a life sentence but it would later be determined that the judge made a mistake at one point. The third trial ended with a conviction for Henchman as well as a life sentence. His lawyers previously argued that the witnesses to testified against Henchman were only trying to cut years off of their own sentences.
