Jay-Z Alleges $20M Loss Amidst Legal Turmoil

JAY-Z claims to have lost $20 million due to a now-dismissed rape lawsuit filed against him and Diddy. The allegations, though explosive, were dropped by the anonymous accuser last week. However, Hov maintains that the impact of these claims has resulted in significant financial harm.

In a filing just days before the case was dismissed, connected to another lawsuit involving attorney Tony Buzbee, Jay asserted that he missed out on deals worth $20 million due to the legal action. “Mr. Buzbee’s actions undermined my relationship, and my company Roc Nation’s relationship, with other businesses in the sports and entertainment space,” the document states. “We have agreements to produce entertainment programs for certain sporting events. After Mr. Buzbee filed the lawsuit, the media reported that other businesses could end their deals with Roc Nation, and forced one to speak out and address whether these false allegations would end our business relationship,” he added in reference to the NFL.

“Immediately after Mr. Buzbee went public with his false accusations, my company Roc Nation also lost other contracts in the sports and entertainment space that would have generated revenues of approximately $20 million per year.”

Lawsuit Dismissed: JAY-Z and Diddy’s “Victory” Amidst Serious Allegations

The lawsuit alleging that JAY-Z and Diddy assaulted a 13-year-old at a 2000 gathering was dismissed without prejudice on February 14 after the accuser chose to retract the claim.

JAY-Z hailed the dismissal as a “victory,” even as the accusations left a lasting stain. Additionally, Hov left a message for the jury remarking, “The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence. May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally.” This then lead to Diddy’s attorneys celebrating the win as well, as Tony Buzbee is behind over 100 different legal actions representing the alleged victims. They voiced, “Today’s complete dismissal without a settlement by the 1-800 attorney is yet another confirmation that these lawsuits are built on falsehoods, not facts.”
