Elton John Postpones Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour Dates
Shows from March 26-May 2 have been pushed to 2021.
Elton John is the latest artist to put his touring plans on hold as the United States goes under lockdown in an attempt to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday (March 16), John announced that 17 of his upcoming Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour dates will be postponed until 2021.
The shows, from March 26 through May 2, will be rescheduled for next year while the currently scheduled shows from May 22-July 8 will go on as currently planned.
“This tough decision has been made with the safety and well-being of his fans put to the fore, at a time when health services are under increased pressure and with the concern that these gatherings risk accelerating the spread of the Coronavirus [COVID-19],” read a statement.
