Abandoned As A NewBorn In The Slums Of Jamaica, Quanum888 Launches Music Career With “Here We Go”
Abandoned as a newborn in the slums of Kingston, Jamaica, Quanum888 had to overcome unimaginably hard obstacles to stand where is today, at a crucial point in his life, launching a music career with the track “Here We Go.”
Music saves lives is not just a nicely sounding quote, and is an adequate reference when speaking about Quanum888’s journey. His moving story proves that very fact, after being lost in the dangerous everyday dealings of his childhood home, until music appeared in his life.
A talented human being and artist, Quanum888’s incredibly organic and pure talent reaches unprecedented heights as heard on his new release, “Here We Go,” a record he wrote at a time when he had reached rock-bottom, even thinking about taking his own life.
He shares: “Everything is broken and crumbling around me, so many friends dead, and so many near and dear that I’ve grown aware not to trust. This is where giving up on life and everything that keeps sucking the soul out of a person seems best to do. Music has always been that small bright spot that keeps the legs moving forward; to where? I don’t know. This song came about while I was on the verge of taking my own life; but I figured to give this music thing one last push…. Hoping there is a God.”
