YG Releases New Song ‘State Of Emergency’: Listen

West Coast legend-on-the-rise, YG, has just released a new song and it is the sign of times to come. The song is called ‘State of Emergency’ and sets the tone right for an album that YG is done making.

YG made the revelation over Instagram, where he not only announced the song, but also mentioned that the album, too, is on the way. The artwork for the song in itself is a black and white portrait of the rapper in hwat seems to be a three-piece suit, in front of a mic.

The track is a west coast groove based song through and through, with laidback (yet aggressive) delivery and a combination of witty punchlines. Last time we saw YG barring up like this was on the RedBull Cypher, which was also nothing but elite raps. YG addresses how he deals with ‘smoke,’ and refutes whoever thought he was going to ‘flop.’

Matter of fact, the rapper lets the beat be and just raps without the music towards the end of the song just to get the point across. Check out the song below!
