Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to the New York Times.

In a statement to the outlet, representatives from Joe Biden’s personal office revealed the former President had been suffering from frequent “urinary symptoms” for quite some time. After undergoing diagnostic testing it was discovered that he had a “small nodule” on his prostate.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement begins.

“On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” it continues. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Accusations surrounding Joe Biden’s health and “mental acuity” declining have been circulating for quite some time. On the campaign trail, Donald Trump made several accusations about his “mental competency” and being forced to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

During a March interview with The View, Biden and former First Lady, Jill Biden, vehemently denied rumors. “They are wrong, there is nothing to sustain that,” he said. “I only dropped out because I didn’t want to have a divided Democratic Party.

Ms. Biden also chimed in saying, “The people who wrote those books were not in the White House with us,” in response to questions about Biden’s rumored mental decline.

She added, “They didn’t see how hard Joe worked.”
